The ADVATX laser uses 589 nm solid yellow light primarily. However, it is also able to combine it with 1319 nm infrared light wavelength as well. This adds to the range of functions of this laser.

Various colored lights were previously used in dermatology. They were used to not only observe but also treat conditions.
