The Pastelle Laser treatment for pigmentation in Tustin, Irvine or Orange County has several application due to its various wavelengths. It provides safe and effective treatments for a variety of treatments.
How Does Irvine Laser Treatment For Pigmentation Work?
The PASTELLE adopts the Photoacoustic Twin Pulse mode, which constantly delivers twin-pulsed, high output energy at very short intervals. As a pulse is divided into two, its a lesser risk for injury to the surrounding tissue, lesser pain during treatments and a quicker healing time is made possible. Treatments with PTP mode are also associated with less hypopigmentation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and other adverse effects. PTP mode provides a more comfortable experience for the patient compared to single pulses of energy.
Pastelle Laser For Different Uses
Pastelle Carbon Laser Peel
This three-part Carbon Peel treatment rejuvenates, tones and brightens the skin. This laser genesis is for deep dermal heating to promote new collagen.
This treatment creates a porcelain doll complexion and is non-invasive and very gentle to the skin. There will be a light tingling feeling. When performing the Pastelle laser treatment, a layer of carbon is applied on the entire face. A carbon lotion is applied to the skin and allowed to dry over a period of a few minutes. This carbon has the ability to absrb dirt from deep within the pores. It can also act to reduce the inflammation of acne and exfoliate the skin.
The fractional laser is used to heat and cause an implosion of the carbon particles. The laser breaks down the carbon powder, taking with it any contaminants that it has absorbed. The carbon particles are very small and are able to penetrate into pores and hard to reach places, allowing the laser to effectively deliver its energy to these targeted areas. The laser light is absorbed by the carbon paste focusing the laser energy on the epidermis. As the laser moves across the skin the carbon paste is gently “vacuumed up”, exfoliating the skin and removing any debris in pores. The treatment minimizes pore sizes and the thermal effect of the laser beam stimulates collagen renewa, giving the benefit of plumper, glowing skin with diminished fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment is comfortable and only a minor sensation similar to pins and needles is felt.

Tattoo Removal
The Pastelle laser sends pulses of light directly into the tattoo. This then breaks up the tattoo pigment. Tattoo ink and natural pigmentation like melanin adsorb the short pulse duration / high-peak energy Q-switched pulses so quickly that they create a photo-acoustic effect within the pigment clusters. This effect breaks down the ink into much smaller particles that can be easily removed by the body’s natural filtering system.
Depending on how big the tattoo is, the treatment may only take a couple of minutes. It is recommended with all tattoo removal procedures that you stay out of the sun, and keep it covered and clean for a short period of time after the laser procedure.
Pigmentation
The laser energy is absorbed by the pigments(usually brown, or grey in colour). These pigmentation break off into smaller fragments and are naturally cleared away by the body and skin.
Anal and Vaginal Ligtening
The Pastelle Qswitch laser can be used to lighten the perianal and peri vaginal area (perineum) or any other areas that have a darker pigmentation than the rest of the body such as the armpit, elbows and knees, knuckles, groin, etc. Several sessions are required as this is a slow but safe process.

Acne Marks
Acne marks are caused by inflammation (the redness and pain) from pimples. The inflammation causes the skin to produce pigments. These pigments are cause of acne marks, which can be effectively removed with the laser.
Skin Rejuvenation
The laser uses its energy to remove dirt, dead skin cells, oil and superficial facial hair. Take this as a quick, effective and multi-purposed medical facial!
Pimples & Acne
The laser energy can also kill P-acne, which is the bacteria that cause pimple and acne. At the same time, the laser energy also shrinks the oil glands in the skin and helps with oil control. Pimples and acne also tend to be less inflamed after laser treatments and this reduces the amount of acne marks after a breakout.
Risks And Compilations
As this laser features PTP technology there are hardly any risks or complications involved. With some of the treatments you may find minimum, swelling and redness, but this will disappear after a short amount of time.
As for tattoo removal, it is normal to experience a small amount of what is called pinpoint bleeding just after your procedure.
How Safe Is The Laser Treatment for Pigmentation?
Lasers utilize a single wavelength to deliver energy to target tissue. Common targets in skin are pigments, blood and water. Q-Switched Lasers are a special category of lasers that can deliver energy in extremely short bursts. As a result, this unique property makes it an ideal laser for treating pigment- related conditions such as freckles, sunspots, birthmarks or tattoos. The ultra-short bursts of energy delivered by the laser disrupt the pigment-containing cells within the skin, leading to fading and cleaning of the treated area. That makes the Q-Switched Lasers ideal for tattoo removal.
Does It Hurt?
Q-Switched Laser Treatments do not hurt, but you may feel slight discomfort during the procedure. The laser energy feels like many tiny hot dots on your skin. You should also notice a reduction in coloration within the first couple of treatments.
What are the advantages of a Q-Switched Laser Treatment in Irvine compared to a no-frills laser?
- Results: Expect a tailored program and laser setting for each individual for more effective clearance of pigmentation, pimples or marks with the usual Q-Switched laser treatment.
- Safety: Everything should be done in moderation. The risk of side-effects from no-frills laser treatments are greatly increased due to the increased number of sessions you would have to go in order to see similar results. These side-effects include hypopigmentation (white patches on the skin) and hyperpigmentation (darker pigments due to over-stimulation of the skin).
- Time Saving: Q-Switched laser treatments last for about 12-15 minutes and is done once every 1-4 weeks depending on the treatment protocol.
