How Long is the Treatment?

The treatment takes around an hour. For patients with acne concerns, the treatment may take longer as your provider performs extractions on any active acne and comedones.

What Should I Avoid Before Treatment?

Before your treatment, be sure to stay out of the sun! Remember to always use sunscreen. Avoid laser treatments 1-2 weeks before your appointment. Do not use any active ingredients such as retin-A or retinoids in your skincare for the week leading up to your appointment.

What Can I Expect During the Treatment?

During the treatment, it is normal to feel a bit warm and some tingling. You may also have temporary minimal redness. Your skin will likey start to peel 3 days after treatment.

Why am I not peeling? is this normal?

What Should I Avoid After Treatment?

When can I workout?

You should avoid workout for 72-96 hours after the peel to prevent any blistering or PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) if prone to PIH or with pigment damage/melasma it’s is suggested to avoid workout for entire 7 day peeling process.

What Should I Expect After the Treatment?

Your skin may feel dry and begin to peel a bit. Do not pick at the peeling skin. Allow it to slough off and heal on its own. As you are healing, do not use harsh ingredients on your skin that may cause additional irritation and sensitivity.

VI Peels come with a post care kit that includes a supply of sunscreen and lotion that will last you up to two weeks! The post care kit also comes with peel towelettes. Your provider will instruct you on how to use the kit.

When Will I Be Able to Notice the Results?

It takes 4-6 weeks to see the results from your treatment and may take 3 or more treatments for optimal results!
